Cave of the Giant

One day, Cleto and I were walking through the mountains west of Saltillo, Mexico. We walked a dry river bed always looking up at the clouds. Always looking out for rain and the potential of flash floods on the riverbed. As we entered a point where the cliffs on both sides of the riverbed stood high above. There on the floor of the dry riverbed layed numerous skeletons of animals. I stopped and looked closely and realized that the skulls of the animals possessed large frontal incisors. The skeletons were the remains of saber tooth tigers. There must have been about thirty skeletons mixed in with the skeletons of mestadons. We had discovered a large graveyard of prehistoric animals. We continued down the dry river bed walking south. About 10 miles down the river there was the opening of a cave up on the side of the mountain wall. Cleto began walking toward the cave opening. When we got there Cleto removed two torches from under large rocks. There were other torches which he left there. Cleto removed a match from his pouch and lit the torches. We walked into the cave and walked in about three hundred meters. We came up to a fork where the cave went two different directions. Cleto took the right and walked further up the cave to another fork. Cleto than walked to the left. We came to a dead end but at the end there was a hidden passageway on the left side. We entered that passageway walked in about three hundred meters. There on the right side of the cave wall was a large protusion of rock. Cleto pushed the protusion back into the cave wall and a large opening appeared before us. We walked in to a large cavern in the large chamber were large objects that looked like machines of some type. There were large tables of stone with many leather scrolls with codex type drawings. Cleto said that this was one of many libraries that belonged to the ancients. The scrolls contained knowledge of the old ancient world and other worlds across the seas to the east and to the west. There were maps drawen on leather. One map showed the location of the libraries througout Mexico. There were scroll books with drawings of herbs and what cures they promoted. In another chamber passed the library there was the mummfied body of a giant. The body according to Cleto belonged to the last keeper of the cavern. When he died, there was no one to cremate or bury him. Cleto found him years ago when he learned of the cave by his teachers.
