The Hidden City
Up in the mountain valley's behind and South of Victoria, Tamulaipas Mexico is a hidden city that Cleto and I visited some years ago. There is a long avenue down its center that is aligned East to West. With temples on both sides of the avenue some facing north and large one's facing south. When we first entered the valley I felt that we were being watched. I told Cleto of my feelings and he motioned for us to sit down. We immediately sat down on a small alter like object. We remained quiet for a while until we heard the soft growl of an animal in the brush. We could sense its movements moving across to the right in front of us. After a few minutes of silence and no movement from us, curosity of the animal drove it out of the brush and to us. As it cames it slender graceful body told us it was a leopard. She came out about fifteen feet from the brush and stopped. She looked at us and gave a soft growl. Cleto began singing an old Mexican song. His soft words told the leopard that we meant no harm. The leopard suddenly laid down and listened to Cleto.
After Cleto finished the song the leopard got up and walked back into the jungle growth.
Cleto got up and began walking to large pyramid , he walked pass the front staircase and behind the pyramid. There between two pyramids was a large green areas of plants. The plants were Arnica, Cleto began collecting the plants and said that I should collect only the greenest plants. Cleto began laying out the collected plants on the pyramid stairs. After collecting a large amount of plants we stopped working and began cleaning out a campsite.
